Healthcare and psychosocial care providers work side by side here at ZIK.
FELIX Pflegeteam, our own nursing team, is specialized in AIDS, mental, and oncologic diseases.
Our approach: At-home care
We make it possible for clients to receive
the intensive care they need in the their homes.
The advantage of this concept is that it enables clients to remain in their own homes for as long as possible.
We also have special nursing-care
apartments that we can make available if necessary. The reason for this is that
the level of care required by people with AIDS can sometimes render ambulant
care in the home infeasible.
The residential nursing facilities that are out there tend to cater mainly to older persons, many of whom face problems that have comparably little relevance for relatively young 40–50 year-old AIDS patients.

FELIX Pflegeteam provides the ambulant
nursing services in our supported housing and our nursing-care apartments.
The mission of this public-benefit company, a ZIK subsidiary, is to help people who are ill and in need of care to retain the highest possible quality of life and to enable them to lead lives worth living according to their own priorities in their own homes.
